PPR at Perth Airfield
Drew
Hi Flyers

The management at Perth have asked me to remind everyone visiting Perth by air, PPR is mandatory. In fact it is law.
The Perth management must keep track of visitors on line to fulfill their commitment as a licenced airfield.

The preferred method is on line at :
http://www.pertha...prform.php and fill in a few lines and your then ready to rock !

If you 'Phone PPR' then your details need to entered on the computer which 'can' been a problem if the airfield is busy.
Perth Airfield suggest if you think you may fly in, then PPR On-line before you leave.
If you decide later not to fly in give them a phone 01738 551631 to cancel.

Tally Ho... !
Drew.

Contrary to what you may have been told you will not be charged for a go around provided you comply with PPR.

As Drew says PPR is law at an airfield operating under an ordinary licence unlike Dundee which is Public. Radio at Perth may not always be manned.

However, if there is a queue waiting to backtrack especially on RWY 21 you may be politely asked to come back when it is quieter.

Remember the poor sod in the Seneca is paying 8 per minute at the hold for what are somtimes "bomber circuits."

Thanks,
Pete.
